Awarded as a general contractor, Reyes Group Ltd. was responsible for the general supervision of the CTA North Park Garage Oil/Water Separator project, totaling approximately $1,600,000:
Spanning roughly a year, the project involved site demolition and excavation of an active Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) bus terminal, installing piping, and placing a large oil/water separator to replace and upgrade old equipment. The work required coordination with multiple subcontractors, including plumbers and electricians. The placement of the piping and the separator were sensitive operations involving very narrow tolerances and care to avoid any leaks. Additionally, the placement and movement of construction equipment and cranes had to be managed carefully to avoid damage to existing underground facilities at the site. RGL also installed a large grit tank at the North Park bus garage involving similar precision and care.
After the installation of the new equipment, the site, which included a large asphalt parking lot and landscaping, were fully restored to their previous conditions. During all of this process, the facility remained in use and construction activities were planned around the needs and schedule of the CTA.
Work consisted of providing all material, equipment and labor required to perform all the work for the Oil/Water Separator and Grit Removal project at the North Park Bus Garage facility at
