Chicago Transit Authority O'Hare Blue Line Tine Replacement
A joint venture with Kiewit Construction Co., to eliminate slow zones on the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Blue Line by installing 65,000 new composite ties, 28,000 track feet of new rail, and performing additional repairs and improvements over a total of 105,000 track feet. After the work, train speeds were increased from as low as 5-10 MPH to 55 MPH along the entire project.
